For Youth aged 9-13
The program focuses on poetry with a different theme each week. A look at everyday life will find the hidden poetry in and around the beautiful Shofuso Japanese House and Garden. Participants will create a portfolio of photo and poetry work.

Regular attendance

Instructors

Natasha Cohen-Carroll

Natasha Cohen-Carroll graduated from Haverford College with a double major in English and Fine Arts with a concentration in photography. She was awarded the Center for Peace & Global Citizenship Grant and taught photography and theatre to children in Ahmedabad, India. Natasha is bilingual in English and French and advanced in Spanish. She has been a teaching artist with the West Park Cultural Center for five years. In addition to serving several years as a counselor for our Camp Ginkgo she teaches photography, film, and poetry workshops. Natasha co-organized the Mustard Seed Film Festival and works on documentary film projects about community and culture.
