Zainab Zulfiqar is a Pakistani multidisciplinary artist, arts educator, and arts administrator based in Philadelphia. They hold an MFA in Painting from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), where they were a member of the Society of Presidential Fellows, and a BFA in South Asian Illuminated Manuscript Painting, with distinction, from the National College of Arts, Lahore.
Alongside their studio practice, Zainab is committed to making art accessible through hands-on, culturally responsive education. They have taught South Asian miniature painting at RISD, led independent workshops in Philadelphia, and facilitated artmaking experiences in gallery and community settings. Through BuildaBridge International, they teach children, teens, and adults across Philadelphia recreation centers and community programs, encouraging experimentation, creative expression, and learning through materials and process.
